Shane is a resident of Horseshoe Bend, although his river career began in Northern California. He graduated from Feather River College with a degree in Outdoor Recreation and has been guiding on the Payette for the past 13 seasons. Shane loves rafting! Shane loves the Payette River! And Shane loves sharing his passion for rafting with others. In the winter months, he travels to South America where he works as a fly fishing guide for a backcountry lodge in Northern Patagonia. When he is not rafting, he rafts and fishes for fun. Spring and Fall seasons find him working as head fishing guide for Cascade Anglers. Shane’s enthusiasm makes him a favorite of guests and co-workers. For the near future, his plans include rafting as much as possible and getting married on the banks of the river. Shane hopes to have many more years of guiding the Payette River with Cascade Raft & Kayak.
