Sally was born and raised in rural Idaho. She has spent her life working, living and playing in the great outdoors. Her family started Mystic Saddle Ranch, the primary outfitter for the Sawtooth Mountains, taking horseback rides and pack trips throughout the Sawtooth National Recreation Area. She earned a degree in Outdoor Recreation Management from Idaho State University. Marriage and family life took her out of a formal job in the outdoors, however, she taught her 4 kids to ski, hike, ride horses and to have a lifelong love of anything outdoors. After earning a Master of Arts in Teaching, she taught both 4th and 5th grade for 12 years. Now, she is retired, and has returned to her outdoor recreation roots by working at Bogus Basin and will be working at Cascade Raft for the first time this summer. She loves swimming in the chilly water of Redfish Lake.
