Scott was born and raised in Darien, Connecticut, a small New York City suburb nestled in the corner of the state. Fed up with the endless commutes and hectic urban life, he is a former Wall Street technologist turned river guide and outdoorsman. Scott has spent the better part of the past decade running rivers all over the country: from Alaska to Maine to Arizona and Idaho! Scott honed his whitewater skills in Maine, where he professionally guided for five seasons on the legendary Kennebec Gorge. He's spent his winters working as a ski patroller. When not working his guiding or patrolling jobs, you can find him backcountry skiing, hiking, kayaking, and traveling. This is his first season with Cascade and on the Payette river system, and he's super excited to bring the stoke to this new river and new community every single day!
