Krista started with Cascade Raft & Kayak in 2002 (yes, she was in it for life!). Born in Boise, her family moved to Alpharetta, Georgia, when she was three, but returned to Boise after 5 years. Krista was a competitive swimmer in high school and attended Gonzaga University and then BSU with a K-12 teaching degree in Kinesiology and Health. Growing up rafting the rivers of Idaho with her family, it was a match made in heaven when she met her husband Chad while lifeguarding at the local YMCA where he taught kayaking. They have 3 adventuresome kids who can be spotted on the river most days. In the off-season you would find her somewhere warm with fun surf and sandy beaches. During January and February, Krista traveled to Chile to work with Cascade Kayak School’s adventure travel kayaking trips.

Krista passed in 2021, but will remain with us always.
