Born and raised in upstate New York, Sam built a passion for the outdoors, especially rivers. Fishing, kayaking, canoeing, camping, and exploring with good friends has played a major part in his life. While getting his degree in sustainability at Paul Smiths College in the Adirondack Park, he was introduction to whitewater. After guiding two years on the Hudson River, he’s looking for a new challenge. He’s excited to continue his journey in a different place with new friends.
